Privacy Policy

This privacy policy describes how Aletheon Systems ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the MIS (Machine Intelligence System) service. This is a working draft for pilot participants and does not constitute legal advice.

What we collect

When you use MIS, we may collect:

  • Device identifiers (unique tokens assigned to each MIS device)
  • Basic telemetry (last seen timestamps, connection status)
  • Summary-level event data (health flags, state observations)
  • User-submitted intervention logs (actions taken, outcomes, optional notes)
  • Contact form information (name, email, company, message content)
  • Admin account information (email, authentication data)

What we don't collect by default

MIS is designed to minimize data collection:

  • No sensitive personal information is required for device operation
  • No raw audio or vibration signals are stored long-term or displayed publicly
  • No precise location tracking is performed
  • We do not sell personal information to third parties

Why we collect data

We use collected information to:

  • Provide the MIS monitoring service and display device status
  • Improve system reliability and accuracy through longitudinal analysis
  • Respond to contact form submissions and support requests
  • Maintain security and prevent abuse
  • Generate aggregated, de-identified insights for system improvement

Sharing and disclosure

We may share information with:

  • Service providers who help us operate the system (hosting, infrastructure)
  • Pilot operators, who can access data for their own devices
  • Legal authorities when required by law or to protect our rights

We do not sell personal information. Aggregated, de-identified data may be used for research and product improvement.

Data retention

Pilot data is retained for the duration of the pilot program plus a reasonable period afterward, unless otherwise agreed. Contact form data is retained as needed for communication and support. You may request deletion of your data by contacting us.

Security

We implement reasonable security measures including:

  • Access controls for admin and device data
  • Encryption in transit (HTTPS)
  • Rate limiting on public endpoints

No system is perfectly secure. If you become aware of a security issue, please contact us immediately.

Pilot PIN (optional, later)

QR intervention logging is currently rate-limited to reduce abuse. In future releases, pilot participants may optionally enable a PIN requirement for intervention logging to add an additional layer of control.
