Terms of Service

These terms of service ("Terms") govern your use of the MIS (Machine Intelligence System) service provided by Aletheon Systems ("we", "our", or "us"). By using MIS, you agree to these Terms. This is a working draft for pilot participants and does not constitute legal advice.

Service description

MIS provides machine health monitoring through sensor devices that track behavior over time. The service includes device status pages, intervention logging, and guidance based on observed patterns. MIS is provided "as is" during the pilot period.

Early access / pilot program

Current access is provided under an early access pilot program:

  • Features may change without notice
  • Service availability is not guaranteed
  • Pilot participation may be limited or terminated at our discretion
  • Pilot feedback may be used to improve the service

Not a substitute for professional maintenance

Important: MIS provides guidance, not diagnostic certainty.

  • MIS does not replace manufacturer-recommended maintenance schedules
  • MIS does not replace professional safety inspections
  • Operators and maintenance professionals remain responsible for all operational and safety decisions
  • For safety-critical equipment, always consult a qualified technician

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract proprietary algorithms
  • Abuse the service through automated access, spam, or denial of service
  • Misrepresent device data or intervention outcomes
  • Use the service for any illegal purpose
  • Share admin credentials or allow unauthorized access

Intellectual property

MIS, including its algorithms, interfaces, and documentation, is proprietary to Aletheon Systems. Pilot participants receive a limited license to use the service for internal operations during the pilot period. No ownership or broader license is granted.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aletheon Systems shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of MIS. MIS is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Our total liability shall not exceed the fees paid (if any) for the pilot period.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Aletheon Systems from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of MIS or violation of these Terms.

Changes to terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of MIS after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes will be communicated to pilot participants.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Queensland, Australia.
